Bruno Zanette kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. In the 7th minute, Júlio Paraense left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Knights Of Cydonia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gil Alves in the 10th minute of play forced Sarzedo's goalkeeper Rogério Mesquita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rogério Mesquita stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Júlio Paraense's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. Bruno Zanette fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felipe Cunha having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Gil Alves managed to get in a good position for a shot. Knights Of Cydonia's supporters rose to their feet, but Gil Alves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rogério Mesquita breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 19th minute of the match Severino Pereira shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rogério Mesquita showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Bruno Zanette blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Felipe Cunha having to make a save. Celsinho Paraibano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bruno Zanette received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Felipe Cunha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 33rd minute, Júlio Paraense ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rogério Mesquita was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Celsinho Paraibano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felipe Cunha having to interfere. Celsinho Paraibano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Júlio Paraense was the one to do the kick off. Celsinho Paraibano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felipe Cunha having to interfere. 61 minutes into the match, Celsinho Paraibano notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Knights Of Cydonia's Felipe Cunha. Felipe Cunha was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Celsinho Paraibano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 69th match minute, Knights Of Cydonia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Serafim Paraíba to maneuver through the defense. Celsinho Paraibano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Felipe Cunha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gil Alves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 84 played minutes, Knights Of Cydonia's Almir Mendes shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Rogério Mesquita came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Knights Of Cydonia reached it. In the 88th minute, Gil Alves ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rogério Mesquita was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Bruno Zanette struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Felipe Cunha didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sarzedo. After having played for 95 minutes, Gil Alves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Knights Of Cydonia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gil Alves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gilberto Gonçalves hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Chants of Knights Of Cydonia echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Sarzedo had held the ball for most of the match.
