Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Maicon Braga started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. When Caetano Paraibano came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Balisa FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Caetano Paraibano couldn't finish the play. 10 minutes into the match, Maicon Braga dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Haroldo Vasconcelos, 1-0. Haroldo Vasconcelos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maicon Braga, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. 18 minutes into the match, C.R.Flamengo-ES's goal looked a bit too open when Maicon Braga came free, but Haroldo Vasconcelos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Olívio Vidal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Haroldo Vasconcelos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maicon Braga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Haroldo Vasconcelos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maicon Braga in the 27th minute of the match. Waldemar Pires hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Haroldo Vasconcelos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maicon Braga in the 34th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Balisa FC's zone, Norberto Paranaense stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adriano de Brito came out of the goal and Norberto Paranaense tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Caetano Paraibano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 43rd minute, Caetano Paraibano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Haroldo Vasconcelos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maicon Braga, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aníbal Urbano to make the kick off. Balisa FC's Caetano Paraibano got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Caetano Paraibano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Balisa FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Caetano Paraibano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Haroldo Vasconcelos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. C.R.Flamengo-ES's Ronaldão Faria couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Balisa FC. Caetano Paraibano's late challenge caught a C.R.Flamengo-ES's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Caetano Paraibano helped the player get up and apologised. Caetano Paraibano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Haroldo Vasconcelos came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by Balisa FC's Maicon Braga. But to his dismay, Maicon Braga quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. In the 72nd minute, Valdir Arósio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Balisa FC booed when C.R.Flamengo-ES was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Waldemar Pires didn't get a good kick on the ball. Maicon Braga blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Haroldo Vasconcelos having to make a save. Balisa FC's Maicon Braga got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Olívio Vidal came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Balisa FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Olívio Vidal couldn't finish the play. If Maicon Braga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Maicon Braga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Haroldo Vasconcelos having to interfere.
