C. getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Richard Tinoco hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Luiz Bernardo F. C.'s zone, Júlio Paraense stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edgar de Mendonça came out of the goal and Júlio Paraense tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Júlio Paraense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgar de Mendonça having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Genílson Valadares in the 13th minute of play forced Knights Of Cydonia's goalkeeper Felipe Cunha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Knights Of Cydonia's Felipe Cunha got control of the ball when Marcel Toscano tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Luiz Bernardo F. C.'s Genílson Valadares slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Felipe Cunha. That made the score 1-0 after 15 minutes of play. Richard Tinoco kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. In the 21st minute, Tomás Pinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 22nd minute of the match Franklin Senna sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Felipe Cunha skillfully saved the ball. Gil Alves struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Edgar de Mendonça didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Knights Of Cydonia. Felipe Cunha made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcel Toscano in the 28th minute. A collision led to Luiz Bernardo F. C. getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Marcinho Pitta hit a great ball. Júlio Paraense took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edgar de Mendonça. Edgar de Mendonça dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Júlio Paraense to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gil Alves got free with Edgar de Mendonça in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 55 played minutes Knights Of Cydonia got a freekick which was hit by Serafim Paraíba. After 56 played minutes, Luiz Bernardo F. C.'s Franklin Senna shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Felipe Cunha came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Luiz Bernardo F. C. reached it. Felipe Cunha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Genílson Valadares in the 57th minute of the match. If Júlio Paraense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Luiz Bernardo F. C.'s zone, Gil Alves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edgar de Mendonça came out of the goal and Gil Alves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 64 minutes, José Pedro Custódio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Luiz Bernardo F. C. and the Knights Of Cydonia players grew even worse after the yellow card. 63 minutes into the game, one of Luiz Bernardo F. C.:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Gil Alves could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Edgar de Mendonça made a huge save. Geovanni Secco charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Geovanni Secco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. An unexpected shot in the 73rd minute by Júlio Paraense got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcel Toscano in the 75th minute of play forced Knights Of Cydonia's goalkeeper Felipe Cunha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Knights Of Cydonia's Tomás Pinho got a free kick in the 76th minute. Marcel Toscano scored 2-2 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Felipe Cunha, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Franklin Senna hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. In the 85th minute of the match, Júlio Paraense tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Edgar de Mendonça saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. A hard shot 88 in the game by Gil Alves from a close distance when the talented Edgar de Mendonça managed to make a qualified save. Luiz Bernardo F. C.'s players were relieved. In the 90th minute, Gil Alves fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Luiz Bernardo F. C.'s Edgar de Mendonça proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 98th minute of the match, managed to save Luiz Bernardo F. C. from getting a goal against them.
