C.'s Marcel Toscano got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 34th minute of the game. One of Platelmintes FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Luiz Bernardo F. C.:s goal. Marcel Toscano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gil Leal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Edgar de Mendonça tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 45 played minutes Luiz Bernardo F. C. got a freekick which was hit by Richard Tinoco. Gil Leal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gil Leal in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edgar de Mendonça prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Edgar de Mendonça took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gil Leal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edgar de Mendonça showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gil Leal, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Gil Leal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edgar de Mendonça read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. Jonas Moura showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcel Toscano in the 86th minute of the match. The supporters of Luiz Bernardo F. C. booed when Platelmintes FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Natanael Vieira didn't get a good kick on the ball.
