A collision led to Platelmintes FC getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Almir Pontes hit a great ball. Jonas Moura showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aníbal Urbano, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Norberto Paranaense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonas Moura having to interfere. The supporters of C.R.Flamengo-ES booed when Platelmintes FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ramón Paraibano didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 42nd minute, Aníbal Urbano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonas Moura was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The crowd rose to their feet as C.R.Flamengo-ES's Norberto Paranaense slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jonas Moura. That made the score 0-2 after 60 minutes of play. When Norberto Paranaense came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the C.R.Flamengo-ES fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Norberto Paranaense couldn't finish the play. Norberto Paranaense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonas Moura having to interfere. Platelmintes FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave C.R.Flamengo-ES the free kick. After 85 played minutes Platelmintes FC got a freekick which was hit by Chico Pires. In the 89th match minute, Platelmintes FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Almir Pontes to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 90 minutes, Aníbal Urbano took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Jonas Moura to make any attempt to save it. Waldemar Pires fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonas Moura having to interfere. The Platelmintes FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. C.R.Flamengo-ES were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
