Felipe Cunha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Davi de Alcântara in the 8th minute of play. Davi de Alcântara recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dino Tasso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Júlio Paraense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Knights Of Cydonia booed when Orgulho do RN was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Davi de Alcântara didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Júlio Paraense to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Hortêncio de Medeiros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 52 played minutes, Orgulho do RN's Dadá Veloso shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Felipe Cunha came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Orgulho do RN reached it. Dino Tasso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Júlio Paraense's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. In the 58th minute Gil Alves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dino Tasso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 60th minute, Hortêncio de Medeiros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Júlio Paraense in the 68th minute of play forced Orgulho do RN's goalkeeper Dino Tasso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 70 minutes into the match, Knights Of Cydonia's goal looked a bit too open when Davi de Alcântara came free, but Felipe Cunha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 72 minutes into the match, Knights Of Cydonia's goalkeeper Felipe Cunha had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Reinaldo Britto. Davi de Alcântara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Felipe Cunha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 75th match minute, Knights Of Cydonia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomás Pinho to maneuver through the defense. 82 minutes into the game, Knights Of Cydonia's Júlio Paraense nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dino Tasso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Júlio Paraense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Dino Tasso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Felipe Cunha was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Davi de Alcântara showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 91 minute of play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
