The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Sandro Diniz made the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sandro Diniz in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rogério Mesquita saved Sarzedo from getting behind. In the 68th match minute, Cianorte FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Walmir Cosme to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luisão Mazza in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rogério Mesquita prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sandro Diniz in the 73rd minute of play forced Sarzedo's goalkeeper Rogério Mesquita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 82 minutes, Sandro Diniz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cianorte FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sandro Diniz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Luisão Mazza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cianorte FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Luisão Mazza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rogério Mesquita breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cláudio Ortiz hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Cianorte FC had played much better football throughout.
