The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jerônimo Madureira kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. An unexpected shot in the 10th minute by Ediberto de Sousa got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Corei522GH's Elivélton Paiva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sílvio Luiz Simão in the 11th minute of play. Júnior Cordeiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ediberto de Sousa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elivélton Paiva having to interfere. Elivélton Paiva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sílvio Luiz Simão in the 17th minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, Rodriguinho Maranhense notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Porradinha Futebol Clube's Mário Veloso. Mário Veloso was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Júnior Cordeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Corei522GH's Elivélton Paiva got control of the ball when Ediberto de Sousa tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 38th minute, Sílvio Luiz Simão fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Ediberto de Sousa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elivélton Paiva having to interfere. Sílvio Luiz Simão recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sílvio Luiz Simão in the 47th minute of play forced Corei522GH's goalkeeper Elivélton Paiva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

If Ediberto de Sousa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 60 minutes into the match, Corei522GH's goal looked a bit too open when Sílvio Luiz Simão came free, but Elivélton Paiva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bruno Velasco charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bruno Velasco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Elivélton Paiva was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sílvio Luiz Simão during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Corei522GH's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rodriguinho Maranhense was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Elivélton Paiva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ediberto de Sousa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Corei522GH's zone, Ediberto de Sousa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elivélton Paiva came out of the goal and Ediberto de Sousa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Corei522GH players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Porradinha Futebol Clube from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
