The supporters of Corei522GH booed when Wiig was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guga Donatello didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 24th minute, Rodriguinho Maranhense got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Wiig booed when Corei522GH was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardo de Lara didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 40 minutes, Júnior Cordeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Corei522GH's supporters crossed their fingers, but Júnior Cordeiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rodriguinho Maranhense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Délio Pombal having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Luís Gustavo Brito made the kick off in the second half. If Tião de Medeiros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Júnior Cordeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Délio Pombal having to interfere. 67 minutes into the game, Alfredinho Travassos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Corei522GH's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Wiig the free kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Gustavo Brito in the 85th minute of play forced Corei522GH's goalkeeper Elivélton Paiva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Elivélton Paiva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Gustavo Brito in the 89th minute of play. Júnior Cordeiro let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 91st minute shot 1-1 at rihgt post. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
