In a very dangerous position, a player in Sagrado fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 10th minute. Penalty! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ramiro Neves in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jacinto Peixoto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jacinto Peixoto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Waldir Barros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, José Pedro Mangueira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sagrado's supporters rose to their feet, but José Pedro Mangueira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benedito Barros breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. José Pedro Mangueira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Portaria Quase FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Evandro Nunes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ramiro Neves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacinto Peixoto having to interfere. Waldir Barros's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jacinto Peixoto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when José Pedro Mangueira got free with Benedito Barros in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

Ramiro Neves did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-2 to the left of a surprised Jacinto Peixoto 56 minutes into the match. In the 63rd minute Ramiro Neves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacinto Peixoto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Portaria Quase FC booed when Sagrado was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mané Saldanha didn't get a good kick on the ball. The long shot by Tomé Magalhães in the 66th minute really tested Jacinto Peixoto's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Mané Saldanha kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Waldir Barros struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Jacinto Peixoto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Portaria Quase FC. If José Pedro Mangueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
