Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Pedrinho Sergipano got the match started through his kick off. Gilvan Varela recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Samuel de Carvalho fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored GOLfootbalfc's protests and gave Samuel de Carvalho a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, GOLfootbalfc's Samuel de Carvalho got a free kick in the 10th minute. After 10 played minutes, Iacaia's Sérgio Trevisan shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Aírton Lago came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Iacaia reached it. If Gilvan Varela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Pedrinho Sergipano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aírton Lago having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedrinho Sergipano in the 22nd minute of play forced GOLfootbalfc's goalkeeper Aírton Lago to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aírton Lago took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilvan Varela, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Juvenal Dionísio was out of position in the 26 minute of play, and Samuel de Carvalho capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Samuel de Carvalho really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. When Pedro Luís Prado fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored GOLfootbalfc's protests and gave Pedro Luís Prado a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, GOLfootbalfc's Pedro Luís Prado got a free kick in the 29th minute. If Samuel de Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Iacaia's Chico Schmidt got a free kick in the 37th minute. After having played for 38 minutes, Emílio Prata managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. GOLfootbalfc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emílio Prata was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of GOLfootbalfc booed when Iacaia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chico Schmidt didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 46th minute Pedrinho Sergipano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aírton Lago saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 50th minute, Gilvan Varela hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Juvenal Dionísio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samuel de Carvalho in the 53rd minute of play. Aírton Lago was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Pedrinho Sergipano showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 61 minute of play. Aírton Lago showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedrinho Sergipano, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Emílio Prata received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Juvenal Dionísio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emílio Prata hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. When Dagoberto Guimarães fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored GOLfootbalfc's protests and gave Dagoberto Guimarães a yellow card for diving instead. Iacaia's Raimundo Arósio was substituted for Jailson de Azevedo. In the 72nd match minute, GOLfootbalfc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dagoberto Guimarães to maneuver through the defense. The long shot by Sérgio Trevisan in the 73rd minute really tested Aírton Lago's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Sérgio Trevisan hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Aírton Lago made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gilvan Varela in the 80th minute. After a rather tough play, GOLfootbalfc's Dagoberto Guimarães got a free kick in the 85th minute. With a little luck, GOLfootbalfc's Aírton Lago got control of the ball when Gilvan Varela tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match had gone on for 89 minutes, Pedrinho Sergipano took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Aírton Lago to make any attempt to save it. Gilvan Varela came free with the goalkeeper in the 93rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Aírton Lago could save by the left post. When Samuel de Carvalho came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the GOLfootbalfc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Samuel de Carvalho couldn't finish the play. When the match was over Iacaia could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than GOLfootbalfc throughout the match.
