Wilson do Valle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 20 minutes into the match, Foz Cataratas's goal looked a bit too open when Leopoldo Sergipano came free, but Wilson do Valle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 26th minute, Deivid Amaral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Eduardo Rossi came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the ACHUBESC S C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eduardo Rossi couldn't finish the play. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Foz Cataratas's goalkeeper Wilson do Valle, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Leopoldo Sergipano struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Wilson do Valle didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ACHUBESC S C. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Leopoldo Sergipano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilson do Valle having to interfere. After 60 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Foz Cataratas! Wilson do Valle went to the wrong direction when Paulão de Almeida was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Paulão de Almeida in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wilson do Valle saved Foz Cataratas from getting behind. In the 69th minute, one of Foz Cataratas:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Foz Cataratas. Hílton Nóbrega kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Foz Cataratas's Genílson Sousa got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Wilson do Valle stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eduardo Rossi's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. Leopoldo Sergipano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Wilson do Valle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 95 minutes of play, ACHUBESC S C's Leopoldo Sergipano made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wilson do Valle was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The ACHUBESC S C fans cheered their team off the field, for while Foz Cataratas had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
