A very good chance. 46 minutes into the match, Samuel de Carvalho notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Foz Cataratas's Wilson do Valle. Wilson do Valle was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Michel Tasso during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The GOLfootbalfc fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aírton Lago should have stopped the shot. In the 70th minute Percy Pimenta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aírton Lago saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. GOLfootbalfc's Aírton Lago played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Percy Pimenta in the 72nd minute of play. After 77 played minutes GOLfootbalfc got a freekick which was hit by Dagoberto Guimarães. When Percy Pimenta came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Foz Cataratas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Percy Pimenta couldn't finish the play. In the 86th minute Percy Pimenta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aírton Lago saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wilson do Valle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samuel de Carvalho in the 93rd minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the GOLfootbalfc players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Foz Cataratas.
