Pedrinho Sergipano started the match with the kick off. Karamelo FC's Paulinho Arósio got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Iacaia's Jailson de Azevedo got a free kick in the 10th minute. Juvenal Dionísio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maurício Domingues in the 46th minute of the match. In the 48th minute, Abel Oliveira made a precise shot to the right of Juvenal Dionísio. Iacaia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Paulinho Arósio to make the kick off. Jailson de Azevedo made in the 57th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Karamelo FC's Serginho Neiva. Paulinho Arósio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Juvenal Dionísio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A sloppy throw-in by Severino Paes in the 77th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Karamelo FC's Baltazar Gerber. When Paulinho Arósio came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Karamelo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulinho Arósio couldn't finish the play. In the 88th minute, Abel Oliveira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Juvenal Dionísio was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. A throw-in in the 93rd minute of the game was made by Duarte Carvalho with Pedrinho Sergipano as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. In the 96th minute, Serginho Neiva got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
