The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Donato Abreu was the one to do the kick off. Ajax's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Foz Cataratas the free kick. After 66 played minutes Ajax got a freekick which was hit by Vito Paraibano. If Genílson Sousa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 73 minutes, Erasmo de Almeida mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Foz Cataratas and the Ajax players grew even worse after the yellow card.
