But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emílio Prata couldn't finish the play. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind GOLfootbalfc's goalkeeper Aírton Lago, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After the first half ACHUBESC S C were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

ACHUBESC S C's Leopoldo Sergipano got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Leopoldo Sergipano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The GOLfootbalfc supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching ACHUBESC S C's performance. The match ended with a win for ACHUBESC S C.
