The supporters of Outeiro Laranja FC booed when Poa Zna Leste was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jardel Félix didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 13th minute Noel dos Santos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cacá Barbosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cacá Barbosa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jorginho Falcão, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Poa Zna Leste's Noel dos Santos got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jardel Félix sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Laércio Ramos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Cacá Barbosa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Outeiro Laranja FC's goalkeeper Cacá Barbosa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Claudinei Catarinense kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Perivaldo Toledo. That made the score 2-0 in the 33 minute of play. A collision led to Outeiro Laranja FC getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Marquinhos Moreno hit a great ball. Noel dos Santos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cacá Barbosa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. Outeiro Laranja FC's Cacá Barbosa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Noel dos Santos in the 45th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Claudinei Catarinense stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Noel dos Santos who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 55thth minute tested the skills of Cacá Barbosa when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Cacá Barbosa was a little too slow when Jorginho Falcão got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 57th minute. The score was now 2-1. In the 62nd minute, Noel dos Santos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 64 played minutes Poa Zna Leste got a freekick which was hit by Jorginho Falcão. After a rather tough play, Outeiro Laranja FC's Marquinhos Moreno got a free kick in the 69th minute. 71 minutes into the match, Noel dos Santos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cacá Barbosa. Outeiro Laranja FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Noel dos Santos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Jorginho Falcão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Cacá Barbosa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Claudinei Catarinense might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Perivaldo Toledo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Claudinei Catarinense ran back to his position shaking his head. After 91 minutes, Fred Cardozo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Outeiro Laranja FC and the Poa Zna Leste players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Outeiro Laranja FC's Fred Cardozo got a free kick in the 91st minute. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Outeiro Laranja FC had won after a very even match.
