In the 29th minute of the game, Joel Linhares landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 45 minutes into the match, Taubaté E.C's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Luiz Monteiro came free, but Eurico Carvalho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Marcus Lara managed to get in a good position for a shot. Orgasmatron SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcus Lara was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eurico Carvalho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half Orgasmatron SS were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Christian Trevisan to strike the kick off in the second half.
