After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Serginho Diniz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dragões de Santiago FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Serginho Diniz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ernesto de Toledo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Henrique Vidal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dragões de Santiago FC's Gilberto Gaúcho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Guilherme Vieira in the 13th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luiz Guilherme Vieira in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gilberto Gaúcho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dragões de Santiago FC's Gilberto Gaúcho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gino Salles in the 20th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Walmir Custódio during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Raúl Gaúcho kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. 44 minutes had been played when some careless play by Dragões de Santiago FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Alex Saraiva was slow to take the kick. During this time Quadrada's players had a chance to rest.

The wind increased when Henrique Vidal made the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Quadrada's Gino Salles slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gilberto Gaúcho. That made the score 0-3 after 61 minutes of play. When Luiz Guilherme Vieira came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Quadrada fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luiz Guilherme Vieira couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Quadrada's Gino Salles got a free kick in the 67th minute. Gino Salles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. The supporters of Quadrada booed when Dragões de Santiago FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henrique Vidal didn't get a good kick on the ball. The corner led Quadrada's Raimundo Lira to fire away a dangerous shot which Gilberto Gaúcho despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Raúl Gaúcho kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Quadrada played a much better game than Dragões de Santiago FC and deserved their victory. The Dragões de Santiago FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
