After a rather tough play, Neves FC's Tião Bastos got a free kick in the 9th minute. 10 minutes into the match, vicentina's Paulo José Arruda broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 11th match minute, vicentina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kiko Rodrigues to maneuver through the defense. vicentina's Aníbal Netto got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, vicentina's Osvaldo Palmeira got a free kick in the 16th minute. Alfredo Marques, 17 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Glauco Abraão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alex Hoffmann made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when João Augusto Maia sent off a good shot on target. In the 22nd minute, Aníbal Netto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Geraldo de Barros was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. vicentina's Alex Hoffmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Glauco Abraão in the 25th minute of play. In the 28th minute of the match Aírton Luz shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Geraldo de Barros showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 32 minutes, Alex Hoffmann successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After a rather tough play, vicentina's Kiko Rodrigues got a free kick in the 34th minute. 36 minutes into the match, vicentina's Wágner de Andrade sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Geraldo de Barros narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Neves FC's Glauco Abraão got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When João Augusto Maia came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Neves FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that João Augusto Maia couldn't finish the play. Glauco Abraão blasted a shot towards the goal in the 50th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alex Hoffmann having to make a save.

If Glauco Abraão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 68th minute Aníbal Netto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geraldo de Barros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Neves FC's Geraldo de Barros got control of the ball when Wágner de Andrade tried to sneak it across the goal line. 76 minutes into the game, João Augusto Maia cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Alex Hoffmann was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The attack was good, but when Glauco Abraão in the 90th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. João Augusto Maia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Geraldo de Barros was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Aníbal Netto showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-3 in the 99 minute of play. When the final whistle went the supporters of vicentina were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Neves FC side.
