Aílton Sampaio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Aílton Sampaio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rogério Dantas in the 16th minute of play. Amílton Rossi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oséias Barbosa having to interfere. In the 20th match minute, Sericita FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernardo de Barros to maneuver through the defense. In the 26th minute of the match Christian Jacinto sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Aílton Sampaio skillfully saved the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Sericita FC's zone, Rogério Dantas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aílton Sampaio came out of the goal and Rogério Dantas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 32 minutes into the game, Yuri Marquez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hellcife FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sericita FC the free kick. In the 32nd match minute, Hellcife FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yuri Marquez to maneuver through the defense. Amílton Rossi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Afonsinho Quadros stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Sericita FC booed when Hellcife FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yuri Marquez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rogério Dantas received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Aílton Sampaio came out and tried to block the shot, but Rogério Dantas slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 71st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rogério Dantas got free with Aílton Sampaio in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
