The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 4th minute, one of Pulse F.C.:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Pulse F.C.. When the match had been going on for 6 minutes, Cussauro Mz's Oséias Mendes got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Marcel Coelho. 11 minutes into the game, Umberto Quintal lined in a short shot 2-0 behind a frustrated Marcel Coelho. Claudinei Lara hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Umberto Quintal put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Marcel Coelho. When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Umberto Quintal took a quick shot and it went in 4-0 without a chance for Marcel Coelho to make any attempt to save it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Teodoro Freitas during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 29 played minutes Pulse F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Teodoro Freitas. 31 minutes into the match, Umberto Quintal dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Marcel Coelho, 5-0. A collision led to Pulse F.C. getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Claudinho da Silveira hit a great ball. Cussauro Mz's Nilmar Tróia got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 40 minutes into the match, Pulse F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Umberto Quintal came free, but Marcel Coelho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 40 minutes, Claudinho da Silveira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pulse F.C. and the Cussauro Mz players grew even worse after the yellow card. After having played for 43 minutes, Nilmar Tróia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cussauro Mz's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nilmar Tróia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marcel Coelho made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Umberto Quintal sent off a good shot on target. Marcel Coelho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zé Roberto Carioca, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Umberto Quintal made a kick off. Pulse F.C.'s Teodoro Freitas got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Umberto Quintal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Umberto Quintal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Cussauro Mz's Umberto Quintal in the 63rd minute got a chance for a shot 63rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Pulse F.C.'s goalie prevented a goal. After having played for 65 minutes, Umberto Quintal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cussauro Mz's supporters crossed their fingers, but Umberto Quintal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Umberto Quintal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Cussauro Mz's Umberto Quintal in the 69th minute got a chance for a shot 69th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Teodoro Freitas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Willian Pombal having to make a save. Zé Paulo Furtado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Willian Pombal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Umberto Quintal came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Cussauro Mz fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Umberto Quintal couldn't finish the play. Zé Roberto Carioca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Marcel Coelho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Umberto Quintal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 85 minutes, Nilmar Tróia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cussauro Mz's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nilmar Tróia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Nilmar Tróia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pulse F.C.'s Marcel Coelho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Umberto Quintal in the 91st minute of play. When the referee ended the match the Cussauro Mz players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
