But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elder Fantini couldn't finish the play. 20 minutes into the game, Isafla's Luiz Gustavo Carneiro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dé Sanches made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Wesley das Neves's late challenge caught a Isafla's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wesley das Neves helped the player get up and apologised. After 24 played minutes Tradição Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Wesley das Neves. After a defensive mix-up in Isafla's zone, Osmar Secco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mitchell de Cler came out of the goal and Osmar Secco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 33 minutes into the match, Isafla's goalkeeper Mitchell de Cler had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Elder Fantini. 34 minutes into the game, Teodoro Marinho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Isafla's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tradição Futebol Clube the free kick. Teodoro Marinho kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. After having played for 37 minutes, Murillo Simões managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Isafla's supporters crossed their fingers, but Murillo Simões was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Teodoro Marinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Teodoro Marinho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dé Sanches having to make a save. Murillo Simões hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Elder Fantini sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Tradição Futebol Clube players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Isafla were winning 0-1.
