Spectators: 7239 (Terracing: 5431, Seating: 1665, VIP seats: 143) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Alberto Severo took the kick off in the first half of the match. Chaval's Miguel Leite played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juarês Rosado in the 5th minute of play. Carlos Eduardo Ferraz's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 7thth minute, Miguel Leite skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 16th minute Juarês Rosado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Leite saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carlos Eduardo Ferraz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Miguel Leite made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juarês Rosado in the 19th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carlos Eduardo Ferraz got free with Miguel Leite in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Chaval's Miguel Leite played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juarês Rosado in the 28th minute of play. Carlos Eduardo Ferraz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miguel Leite having to interfere. Ricardinho Sá took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tião Bezerra. Tião Bezerra dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Juarês Rosado to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Treta FC's zone, Ricardinho Sá stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tião Bezerra came out of the goal and Ricardinho Sá tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nuno Sampaio hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. If Ricardinho Sá had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Alberto Severo came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Chaval fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberto Severo couldn't finish the play. 72 minutes into the match, Treta FC's goalkeeper Tião Bezerra had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ricardinho Sá. If Alberto Severo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 82nd minute, Alberto Severo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tião Bezerra made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Ricardinho Sá sent off a good shot on target. 87 minutes into the game, Treta FC's Carlos Eduardo Ferraz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Miguel Leite made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Tião Bezerra didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 92nd minute, which inside left pole to 1-3. Ricardinho Sá got a fine position in front of goal ttaking advantage of the opportunity to rumble in 1-4 in the right cross in the 97th match minute before Tião Bezerra had time to react. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Chaval eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
