Anísio Leão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Téo Hermes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Guveia's zone, Patrick Valadares stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anísio Leão came out of the goal and Patrick Valadares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Chatuba de Mesquita booed when Guveia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edmundo Branco didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 96th minute, Tarcisio Duarte got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match was over Chatuba de Mesquita could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Guveia throughout the match.
