Igor Tande started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, Cisne Negro MZ Club's Gilmar Messias got a free kick in the 2nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Cisne Negro MZ Club's zone, Faustão Silveira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ciro Perez came out of the goal and Faustão Silveira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Faustão Silveira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Ciro Perez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Igor Tande sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Igor Tande fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manoel Tasso having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Igor Tande in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Manoel Tasso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Emanuel Nóbrega had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Vikings getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Dênis Fernandez hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, Adriano Gonçalves put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Manoel Tasso. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Emanuel Nóbrega to make the kick off. Emanuel Nóbrega sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Igor Tande fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manoel Tasso having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adriano Gonçalves got free with Manoel Tasso in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With his leg Manoel Tasso managed to avoid a goal in the 67thth minute, when Cisne Negro MZ Club's Adriano Gonçalves fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Manoel Tasso acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 70th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Luís Paulo do Valle. Emanuel Nóbrega fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciro Perez having to interfere. 76 minutes into the match, Vikings's goalkeeper Manoel Tasso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adriano Gonçalves. A collision led to Vikings getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Dênis Fernandez hit a great ball. The supporters of Cisne Negro MZ Club booed when Vikings was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvério Arruda didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cisne Negro MZ Club's Adriano Gonçalves got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 81 minutes into the game, Luizinho Proença was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vikings's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cisne Negro MZ Club the free kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Cisne Negro MZ Club's Igor Tande slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Manoel Tasso. That made the score 1-2 after 83 minutes of play. Cipriano Paraense hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. In the 95th minute Igor Tande shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manoel Tasso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cisne Negro MZ Club's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
