Manoel Tasso came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by Chatuba de Mesquita's Geovanni Azevedo. But to his dismay, Geovanni Azevedo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Geovanni Azevedo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 10thth minute tested the skills of Manoel Tasso when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Téo Hermes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manoel Tasso having to interfere. Manoel Tasso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Téo Hermes in the 13th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Téo Hermes in the 15th minute of play forced Vikings's goalkeeper Manoel Tasso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Tarcisio Duarte came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Chatuba de Mesquita fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tarcisio Duarte couldn't finish the play. 47 minutes into the match, Geovanni Azevedo notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Vikings's Manoel Tasso. Manoel Tasso was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Emanuel Nóbrega stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Chatuba de Mesquita's Téo Hermes got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Manoel Tasso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Téo Hermes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Manoel Tasso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Téo Hermes in the 80th minute of play. After having played for 83 minutes, Téo Hermes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chatuba de Mesquita's supporters crossed their fingers, but Téo Hermes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Manoel Tasso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Téo Hermes in the 86th minute of the match. In the 87th minute, Tarcisio Duarte got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Chatuba de Mesquita's Willian Cardoso got a free kick in the 91st minute. Pedrão Galvão made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Faustão Silveira sent off a good shot on target. Tarcisio Duarte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Manoel Tasso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
