In the 11th minute, Manuel Leal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Guveia's Valdo Penha got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 14 minutes into the game, Túlio Fernandez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kolossus PG's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Guveia the free kick. Túlio Fernandez kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. If Manuel Leal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valdo Penha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Décio Zanette tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Kolossus PG's zone, Manuel Leal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Décio Zanette came out of the goal and Manuel Leal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Décio Zanette showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valdo Penha, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. After having played for 24 minutes, Dagoberto Koehler managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kolossus PG's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dagoberto Koehler was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 27 played minutes Guveia got a freekick which was hit by João Carlos Aguiar. Clemente Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Anísio Leão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Guveia's Anísio Leão proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Guveia from getting a goal against them. Anísio Leão came out of the goal and Dagoberto Koehler tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 46th minute, Jonas Teixeira made a precise shot to the right of Anísio Leão. Guveia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The supporters of Kolossus PG booed when Guveia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Pedro Rocha didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 54 played minutes Guveia got a freekick which was hit by Valdo Penha. In the 56th minute, José Pedro Rocha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Guveia's Anísio Leão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lúcio Peixoto in the 59th minute of play. When the match clock showed 61 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Dagoberto Koehler sped through Guveia's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Anísio Leão. Dagoberto Koehler scored 4-1 in the 65th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Anísio Leão, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 70 minutes, José Pedro Rocha mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Guveia and the Kolossus PG players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Guveia's José Pedro Rocha got a free kick in the 70th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dagoberto Koehler in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Anísio Leão saved Guveia from getting behind. Anísio Leão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonas Teixeira in the 74th minute of play. Anísio Leão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dagoberto Koehler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Anísio Leão stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dagoberto Koehler's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. 88 minutes into the match, Kolossus PG's Clemente Costa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Anísio Leão narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 90 minutes into the match, Guveia's goal looked a bit too open when Dito Marquez came free, but Anísio Leão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 92 minutes into the game, Serginho Rezende was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kolossus PG's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Guveia the free kick. Guveias' Décio Zanette just managed to throw himself towards the right post in the 94thth minute after Wágner Teless penalty, and stop a certain goal. Anísio Leão came out of the goal in the 98th minute to try and stop a shot by Kolossus PG's Jonas Teixeira. But to his dismay, Jonas Teixeira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Kolossus PG fully deserved thier win.
