Silas Correia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anísio Leão having to interfere. Valdo Penha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Tião Bezerra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 20th minute, Manuel Leal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Anísio Leão came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Treta FC's Juarês Rosado. But to his dismay, Juarês Rosado quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Tião Bezerra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valdo Penha, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Manuel Leal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tião Bezerra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valdo Penha in the 37th minute of the match. The supporters of Guveia booed when Treta FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacinto Loureiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Gonçalo Barbosa fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Treta FC's protests and gave Gonçalo Barbosa a yellow card for diving instead. In the 45th match minute, Treta FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gonçalo Barbosa to maneuver through the defense. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Juarês Rosado to strike the kick off in the second half. Treta FC's Juarês Rosado got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Valdo Penha managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guveia's supporters rose to their feet, but Valdo Penha was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tião Bezerra breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 61 minutes into the match, Treta FC's goal looked a bit too open when Valdo Penha came free, but Tião Bezerra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valdo Penha in the 68th minute of play forced Treta FC's goalkeeper Tião Bezerra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tião Bezerra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manuel Leal in the 69th minute of the match. In the 95th minute Manuel Leal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tião Bezerra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Valdo Penha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tião Bezerra having to interfere. The Treta FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Treta FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
