After 7 played minutes, Clube Atlético dos Craque's Arthur Vinhas shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Miguel Leite came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Clube Atlético dos Craque reached it. Lino da Rocha kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Chaval's Túlio Velasco tried to score from far away in the 16th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 17 minutes into the game, Lauro Veloso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Clube Atlético dos Craque's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chaval the free kick. In the 17th match minute, Clube Atlético dos Craque was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lauro Veloso to maneuver through the defense. After 21 played minutes, Clube Atlético dos Craque's Diogo Couto shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Miguel Leite came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Clube Atlético dos Craque reached it. Ian Pena took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Miguel Leite. Miguel Leite dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Miguel Leite made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Augusto Mandrak in the 38th minute of play. Wellington Passos kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. In the 46th minute Arthur Vinhas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Leite saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alberto Severo to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Ian Pena managed to get in a good position for a shot. Clube Atlético dos Craque's supporters rose to their feet, but Ian Pena was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Miguel Leite breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Chaval getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Túlio Velasco hit a great ball. Miguel Leite acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 56th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Arthur Vinhas. If Ricardinho Sá had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ricardinho Sá fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorginho de Souza having to interfere. Zé Augusto Mandrak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 78 minutes into the match, Zé Augusto Mandrak notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Chaval's Miguel Leite. Miguel Leite was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Alberto Severo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. André Luiz Chaves struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Jorginho de Souza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chaval. 92 minutes into the match, Clube Atlético dos Craque's goal looked a bit too open when Ricardinho Sá came free, but Jorginho de Souza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alberto Severo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Jorginho de Souza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ricardinho Sá sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle went the supporters of Clube Atlético dos Craque were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Chaval side.
