In the 16th minute Dagoberto Koehler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedrão Galvão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Geovanni Azevedo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chatuba de Mesquita's supporters rose to their feet, but Geovanni Azevedo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Décio Zanette breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 19 played minutes Kolossus PG got a freekick which was hit by Dito Marquez. Chatuba de Mesquita's Tarcisio Duarte got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geovanni Azevedo in the 26th minute of play forced Kolossus PG's goalkeeper Décio Zanette to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Chatuba de Mesquita were furious when Willian Cardoso was red carded, 29 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Geovanni Azevedo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Geovanni Azevedo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Décio Zanette was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kolossus PG's goalkeeper Décio Zanette, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 41st match minute, Kolossus PG was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Natanael Barbosa to maneuver through the defense. Geovanni Azevedo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Clóvis Catarinense managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kolossus PG's supporters rose to their feet, but Clóvis Catarinense was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedrão Galvão breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Geovanni Azevedo made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Patrick Valadares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pedrão Galvão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dagoberto Koehler in the 53rd minute of play. Kolossus PG's Décio Zanette proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Kolossus PG from getting a goal against them. Pedrão Galvão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dito Marquez in the 57th minute of the match. A collision led to Kolossus PG getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Clemente Costa hit a great ball. The supporters of Chatuba de Mesquita booed when Kolossus PG was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dito Marquez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Geovanni Azevedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Décio Zanette tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Chatuba de Mesquita players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Kolossus PG.
