In the 15th minute, Alexandre Teixeira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Alexandre Teixeira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bs Agro F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Alexandre Teixeira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Egídio Garcia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Futbol Club Barcelona's Luiz Fábio Galvão got a free kick in the 18th minute. In the 24th minute Kléber Paraibano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Régis Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Borys Klimkiewicz came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Bs Agro F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Borys Klimkiewicz couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Futbol Club Barcelona getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Kléber Paraibano hit a great ball. Wellington Esteves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Régis Amorim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Zé Pedro Bittencourt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Borys Klimkiewicz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alexsandro Favoretto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Egídio Garcia made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Futbol Club Barcelona's zone, Alexandre Teixeira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Egídio Garcia came out of the goal and Alexandre Teixeira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alexandre Teixeira struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Egídio Garcia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bs Agro F.C. When Bs Agro F.C's Alexandre Teixeira in the 45th minute got a chance for a shot 45th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Futbol Club Barcelona's goalie prevented a goal. After the first half Futbol Club Barcelona were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kléber Paraibano made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luiz Fernando Silveira got free with Régis Amorim in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alexandre Teixeira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Egídio Garcia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. Futbol Club Barcelona's Egídio Garcia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexandre Teixeira in the 56th minute of play. In the 60th minute Alexsandro Favoretto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Egídio Garcia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alexandre Teixeira in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Egídio Garcia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 64th minute, Alexsandro Favoretto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bs Agro F.C fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. If Alexandre Teixeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Egídio Garcia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zé Pedro Bittencourt in the 74th minute of the match. Luiz Fernando Silveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Régis Amorim having to interfere. After having played for 80 minutes, Alexsandro Favoretto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bs Agro F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alexsandro Favoretto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alexandre Teixeira in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Egídio Garcia saved Futbol Club Barcelona from getting behind. Bs Agro F.C's Alexandre Teixeira got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Alexsandro Favoretto managed to get in a good position for a shot.
