VIDAL FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Douradina City FC the free kick. Benê Arruda hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in VIDAL FC's zone, Nilson Lima stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edmílson Loyola came out of the goal and Nilson Lima tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Valdomiro Urbano came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the VIDAL FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valdomiro Urbano couldn't finish the play. Nilson Lima received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Edmílson Loyola tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tadeu Costa struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Edmílson Loyola didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Douradina City FC. After 17 minutes, Nilson Lima made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. VIDAL FC's Edmílson Loyola tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 23rd minute, Nilson Lima ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edmílson Loyola was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Nilson Lima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 31st minute, Wanderson Tinoco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 34th minute, Nilson Amaral got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 37 minutes, Nilson Lima managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Douradina City FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nilson Lima was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nilson Lima received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Edmílson Loyola tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Douradina City FC's Nilson Lima got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in VIDAL FC's zone, Nilson Amaral stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edmílson Loyola came out of the goal and Nilson Amaral tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Luís Fernando de Queirós came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the VIDAL FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luís Fernando de Queirós couldn't finish the play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luís Fernando de Queirós was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tadeu Costa in the 51st minute of play forced VIDAL FC's goalkeeper Edmílson Loyola to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nilson Lima's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 55thth minute, Edmílson Loyola skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Edmílson Loyola made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Nilson Lima sent off a good shot on target. In the 59th minute, Nilson Lima ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edmílson Loyola was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. 62 minutes into the match, VIDAL FC's goalkeeper Edmílson Loyola had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nilson Lima. Nilson Amaral blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edmílson Loyola having to make a save. If Nilson Lima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 73rd minute there was a penalty for Douradina City FC. Nilson Lima stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Edmílson Loyola. 0-4. Douradina City FC's Nilson Amaral managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Marco Matos in the 77 minute of the game. VIDAL FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 77th minute, when Nilson Lima scored to the left of an out of position Edmílson Loyola, making the score, 0-5. 83 minutes into the match, Nilson Lima notched a goal, 0-6, to the right of VIDAL FC's Edmílson Loyola. Edmílson Loyola was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With his leg Edmílson Loyola managed to avoid a goal in the 89thth minute, when Douradina City FC's Nilson Lima fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 90 minutes of play, Douradina City FC's Tadeu Costa made it 0-7 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edmílson Loyola was left in no man's land by his defense there! VIDAL FC's Edmílson Loyola proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save VIDAL FC from getting a goal against them. In the 97th minute, Nilson Amaral fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Edmílson Loyola, passed just outside the right post. Douradina City FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
