In the 3rd minute, one of Catole:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Catole. In the 5th minute there was a penalty for Pierrot Calcio. Claudinei Pinheiro stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ulysses Saraiva. 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Pierrot Calcio's zone, Mathias Meirelles stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sydney Mandrak came out of the goal and Mathias Meirelles tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Mathias Meirelles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 13 played minutes Pierrot Calcio got a freekick which was hit by Edson Paiva. Sydney Mandrak was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Natã de Amaral. Fabrício Tande took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 18th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ulysses Saraiva. Catole's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Mathias Meirelles struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Sydney Mandrak didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Catole. In the 24th minute, Tadeu de Sousa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Germano Garcia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 32nd minute, Germano Garcia ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ulysses Saraiva was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mathias Meirelles made a kick off. In the 56th minute of the match Pierrot Calcio got a corner. Catole's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Claudinei Pinheiro ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 58th minute, Mathias Meirelles left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Catole fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mauro do Nascimento got free with Ulysses Saraiva in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mathias Meirelles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sydney Mandrak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tadeu de Sousa in the 74th minute of the match. If Tadeu de Sousa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Germano Garcia came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Pierrot Calcio fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Germano Garcia couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mauro do Nascimento got free with Ulysses Saraiva in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Catole supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Pierrot Calcio's performance. The match ended with a win for Pierrot Calcio.
