Spectators: 7380 (Terracing: 5536, Seating: 1697, VIP seats: 147) Pong Elin started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 5 minutes had been played when some careless play by Canal's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Zé Pedro Batista was slow to take the kick. During this time Sapiranga F C's players had a chance to rest. Sapiranga F C's Zé Pedro Batista was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Abe Stad in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Sapiranga F C's Filip Mentus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Gustavo Ferraz in the 16th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, Pong Elin notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Canal's Abe Stad. Abe Stad was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Betão Nascimento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Abe Stad made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Pong Elin sent off a good shot on target. In the 23rd minute, Pong Elin made a precise shot to the right of Abe Stad. Canal's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Sapiranga F C's Filip Mentus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jailson Prestes in the 28th minute of play. Pong Elin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Abe Stad made a huge save. With his leg Abe Stad managed to avoid a goal in the 34thth minute, when Sapiranga F C's Pong Elin fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Luís Gustavo Ferraz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 48 minutes into the match, Canal's goalkeeper Abe Stad had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pong Elin. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jailson Prestes to make the kick off. Filip Mentus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jailson Prestes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luís Gustavo Ferraz got free with Filip Mentus in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Pedrão Zonta hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Filip Mentus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jailson Prestes, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. After 61 played minutes Canal got a freekick which was hit by Célio Goiano. Nilson de Amorim scored 4-0 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Abe Stad, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Nilson de Amorim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abe Stad having to interfere. When Pong Elin came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Sapiranga F C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pong Elin couldn't finish the play. After 73 played minutes Canal got a freekick which was hit by Durvalino Santana. 75 minutes into the game, Nilson de Amorim cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Abe Stad was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Canal's zone, Pong Elin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abe Stad came out of the goal and Pong Elin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 85th minute, Pong Elin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sapiranga F C fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. If Nilson de Amorim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pong Elin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Abe Stad tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 94th minute Nilson de Amorim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abe Stad saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
