In the 25th minute, Rodrigo de Salles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Matías Barral took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 26th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Luís Gustavo Meireles. Jaguary EC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When Cipriano Proença got free in front of the goal in the 29th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Luís Gustavo Meireles was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Cipriano Proença received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cipriano Proença to strike the kick off in the second half. Jaguary EC's Luís Gustavo Meireles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by César Sanches in the 52nd minute of play. Luís Gustavo Meireles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cipriano Proença, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luís Gustavo Meireles stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Durvalino Nóbrega's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cipriano Proença in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luís Gustavo Meireles prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Durvalino Nóbrega had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cipriano Proença struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Luís Gustavo Meireles didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tijuco FC. Durvalino Nóbrega sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
