Alex de Amaral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alex de Amaral could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Lino Rocha made a huge save. Caco Velloso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reynaldo Massa having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Alex de Amaral managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tubarão Esporte Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Alex de Amaral was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lino Rocha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Caco Velloso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Alex de Amaral kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Lino Rocha. That made the score 2-0 in the 26 minute of play. Reynaldo Massa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Reginaldo de Toledo went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. 34 minutes into the game, Alex de Amaral was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tubarão Esporte Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Paranagi the free kick. After 44 played minutes Paranagi got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Luiz Dracena. When Víktor Guedes came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Tubarão Esporte Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Víktor Guedes couldn't finish the play. Alex de Amaral blasted a shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lino Rocha having to make a save. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Reginaldo de Toledo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Caco Velloso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Reginaldo de Toledo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reynaldo Massa having to interfere. Durvalino Nascimento hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Alex de Amaral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Reynaldo Massa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reginaldo de Toledo in the 69th minute of the match. Délio Catarinense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 79th minute Víktor Guedes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lino Rocha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alex de Amaral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lino Rocha having to interfere. 87 minutes into the game, Reginaldo de Toledo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Reynaldo Massa. Reginaldo de Toledo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. Víktor Guedes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Lino Rocha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 93 minutes, Alex de Amaral managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tubarão Esporte Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alex de Amaral was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Róbson Quadros managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lino Rocha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Tubarão Esporte Clube players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
