Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Denílson Bittencourt made the kick off and thus started the match. Tauaquera SC's Pedro Luís Cosme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André da Rocha in the 3rd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Waldemar Dante in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Júlio Branco saved Solar Paulistano from getting behind. When Denílson Bittencourt came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Solar Paulistano fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Denílson Bittencourt couldn't finish the play. André da Rocha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pedro Luís Cosme didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Denílson Bittencourt went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Waldemar Dante struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Júlio Branco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tauaquera SC. Waldemar Dante received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Júlio Branco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pedro Luís Cosme didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from André da Rocha went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Olavo Seco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Júlio Branco having to interfere. 30 minutes into the match, Solar Paulistano's goalkeeper Júlio Branco had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Olavo Seco. 33 minutes into the game, Olavo Seco cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Júlio Branco was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Olavo Seco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Júlio Branco made a huge save. Pedro Luís Cosme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Denílson Bittencourt in the 43rd minute of play. 46 minutes into the match, Solar Paulistano's André da Rocha sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pedro Luís Cosme narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Olavo Seco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Júlio Branco made a huge save. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Waldemar Dante made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Solar Paulistano's goal looked a bit too open when Waldemar Dante came free, but Júlio Branco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tauaquera SC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Rubinho Travassos in the 53rd minute. Tauaquera SC's Rubinho Travassos was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Júlio Branco in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Júlio Branco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Waldemar Dante, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Olavo Seco in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Júlio Branco saved Solar Paulistano from getting behind. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Solar Paulistano's goalkeeper Júlio Branco, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Júlio Branco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Waldemar Dante, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. After 71 minutes of play, Tauaquera SC's Olavo Seco made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Júlio Branco was left in no man's land by his defense there! 77 minutes into the match, Tauaquera SC's goal looked a bit too open when Denílson Bittencourt came free, but Pedro Luís Cosme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Olavo Seco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Júlio Branco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zézinho Aparecido hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Waldemar Dante sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tauaquera SC's Olavo Seco got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Waldemar Dante in the 97th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Júlio Branco prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
