Abe Stad showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olavo Prado, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. After 6 minutes of play, cajamar's Olavo Prado made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Abe Stad was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luís Gustavo Ferraz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luís Gustavo Ferraz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Osvaldinho Salgado kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, cajamar's Zézinho Antunes got a free kick in the 21st minute. Jorge Mattos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jailson Prestes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jailson Prestes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Mattos having to interfere. 28 minutes into the game, one of cajamar:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Jailson Prestes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 32nd minute, Luís Gustavo Ferraz reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jorge Mattos. The goal made the score 2-1. When cajamar's Zézinho Antunes in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Canal's goalie prevented a goal. Luís Gustavo Ferraz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Jorge Mattos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luís Gustavo Ferraz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Mattos having to interfere. 55 minutes into the match, Jailson Prestes notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of cajamar's Jorge Mattos. Jorge Mattos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 60 minutes into the match, cajamar's goal looked a bit too open when Jailson Prestes came free, but Jorge Mattos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Luís Gustavo Ferraz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jorge Mattos was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. If Jailson Prestes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Célio Goiano was slow to take the kick. During this time Canal's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Canal's corner Célio Goiano fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jorge Mattos quite easily take care of the ball. Jorge Mattos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Gustavo Ferraz in the 83rd minute of the match. If Luís Gustavo Ferraz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match clock showed 90 minutes, the score became 5-1 when Luís Gustavo Ferraz sped through cajamar's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jorge Mattos. After a defensive mix-up in cajamar's zone, Jailson Prestes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jorge Mattos came out of the goal and Jailson Prestes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Jailson Prestes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jorge Mattos was relentless in the 97th minute of the game. When the referee ended the match the Canal players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
