Spectators: 7288 (Terracing: 5468, Seating: 1676, VIP seats: 144) When Kiko Cabral fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sapiranga F C's protests and gave Kiko Cabral a yellow card for diving instead. After 3 played minutes Sapiranga F C got a freekick which was hit by Kiko Cabral. Betão Nascimento's late challenge caught a Jaguary EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Betão Nascimento helped the player get up and apologised. In the 12th minute, Pong Elin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luís Gustavo Meireles was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Pong Elin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pong Elin in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luís Gustavo Meireles saved Jaguary EC from getting behind. Sapiranga F C's Filip Mentus proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Sapiranga F C from getting a goal against them. Luís Gustavo Meireles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nilson de Amorim in the 25th minute of the match. Ezequiel Novaes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 30th minute Nilson de Amorim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Gustavo Meireles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luís Gustavo Meireles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nilson de Amorim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 42 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Jaguary EC! In the 46th minute there was a penalty for Sapiranga F C. Zé Pedro Batista stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Luís Gustavo Meireles. 0-2. The Jaguary EC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Sapiranga F C were winning 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pong Elin to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Jaguary EC's Michel de Godoi got a free kick in the 51st minute. 53 minutes into the game, Marcos Brasil recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Luís Gustavo Meireles. Marcos Brasil showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. Pong Elin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Luís Gustavo Meireles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pong Elin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Luís Gustavo Meireles made a huge save. 73 minutes into the match, Jaguary EC's goal looked a bit too open when Nilson de Amorim came free, but Luís Gustavo Meireles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luís Gustavo Meireles made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Pong Elin sent off a good shot on target. In the 79th minute, Sapiranga F C's Nilson de Amorim ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Luís Gustavo Meireles. Luís Gustavo Meireles yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. 83 minutes into the game, Sapiranga F C's Marcos Brasil nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Luís Gustavo Meireles made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nilson de Amorim in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luís Gustavo Meireles prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 91 minutes, Pong Elin made it 0-6 with a short kick to the right side. Jaguary EC's Luís Gustavo Meireles tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.
