Lino Rocha stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nilson de Amorim's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. Pong Elin who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 19thth minute tested the skills of Lino Rocha when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Lino Rocha came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Sapiranga F C's Pong Elin. But to his dismay, Pong Elin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Caco Velloso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nilson de Amorim in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lino Rocha saved Paranagi from getting behind. In the 32nd minute of the match, Pong Elin got a very nice opportunity to score, but Lino Rocha was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Nilson de Amorim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lino Rocha having to interfere. With a little luck, Paranagi's Lino Rocha got control of the ball when Pong Elin tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 37th minute, Pong Elin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lino Rocha was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. If Pong Elin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pong Elins short, quick shot in the 47thth minute got Lino Rocha to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pong Elin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 51 minutes, Nilson de Amorim managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sapiranga F C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nilson de Amorim was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Sapiranga F C fully deserved thier win.
