In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Uarati's goalkeeper Wilton Velloso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The corner led Uarati's Dadá Guerra to fire away a dangerous shot which Nicolas Madureira despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 40th minute, Antônio do Valle left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Uarati fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. In the 45th minute, Gernando Albuquerque hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 46th minute of the match Dadá Guerra shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nicolas Madureira showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 48 minutes into the match, Raphael Fonseca notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Goioxim EC's Nicolas Madureira. Nicolas Madureira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

With a little luck, Goioxim EC's Nicolas Madureira got control of the ball when Edgard Netto tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nicolas Madureira made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Conrado Lara sent off a good shot on target. Conrado Lara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raphael Fonseca in the 88th minute of play forced Goioxim EC's goalkeeper Nicolas Madureira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
