Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Cícero Quadros started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Valdo Velasco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ca o Du's Augusto Almeida played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valdo Velasco in the 22nd minute of play. With a little luck, Ca o Du's Augusto Almeida got control of the ball when Zé Augusto Senna tried to sneak it across the goal line. Augusto Almeida took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valdo Velasco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zézinho Soares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adelino Quadros's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. In the 30th minute, Valdo Velasco reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Augusto Almeida. The goal made the score 1-0. Adelino Quadros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zézinho Soares having to interfere. If Zé Augusto Senna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 37 minutes, Valdo Velasco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Corcovado's supporters crossed their fingers, but Valdo Velasco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Valdo Velasco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Augusto Almeida having to interfere. In the 44thth minute of the game Valdo Velasco who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ca o Du's Augusto Almeida was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 48th minute, Zé Augusto Senna left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Corcovado fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Adelino Quadros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Zézinho Soares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Valdo Velasco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 63rd minute Zé Augusto Senna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Augusto Almeida saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Ca o Du's Enéas Sá got a free kick in the 69th minute. Valdo Velasco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Zé Augusto Senna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ca o Du's Augusto Almeida played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valdo Velasco in the 74th minute of play. Tiago Cosme hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Zé Augusto Senna struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Augusto Almeida didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Corcovado. When Valdo Velasco came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Corcovado fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valdo Velasco couldn't finish the play. When Corcovado's Valdo Velasco in the 89th minute got a chance for a shot 89th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ca o Du's goalie prevented a goal. After 89 minutes, Sidnei Dias mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ca o Du and the Corcovado players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Ca o Du's zone, Valdo Velasco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Augusto Almeida came out of the goal and Valdo Velasco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Valdo Velasco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zé Augusto Senna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Augusto Almeida tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zézinho Soares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adelino Quadros in the 98th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Corcovado had played much better football throughout.
