Wesley Silva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Júlio Tasso in the 23rd minute of play. Iuri Arruda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Rafael Cardoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 28 minutes into the match, PingaBall F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Gino Dante came free, but Rafael Cardoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kléber Coelho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Guanabara F.C. getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Júlio Tasso to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Guanabara F.C.'s Oscar Mesquita got a free kick in the 52nd minute. When Luís Gustavo Sarmento came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the PingaBall F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luís Gustavo Sarmento couldn't finish the play. Gino Dante blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rafael Cardoso having to make a save. The PingaBall F.C fans' excitement grew in the 70th match minute when PingaBall F.C's Kléber Coelho looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Gino Dante fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafael Cardoso having to interfere.
