Murilo Galvão's late challenge caught a Galáticos MZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Murilo Galvão helped the player get up and apologised. In the 3rd minute, one of Ca o Du:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ca o Du. In the 5th minute there was a penalty for Galáticos MZ. Maurinho Chaves stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Augusto Almeida. 1-0. In the 9th minute, Dino Gaspar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 15 minutes into the game, one of Galáticos MZ:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Ca o Du a penalty, 17 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Jorginho Barbosa, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Galáticos MZ's Ignacy Glogowski. 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adelino Quadros in the 24th minute of play forced Galáticos MZ's goalkeeper Ignacy Glogowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 25 minutes into the match, Galáticos MZ's goal looked a bit too open when Cícero Quadros came free, but Ignacy Glogowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adelino Quadros in the 30th minute of play forced Galáticos MZ's goalkeeper Ignacy Glogowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fausto Ortiz in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Augusto Almeida prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Fausto Ortiz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot by Frédson de Barros from long distance, 45 minutes into the match, got Augusto Almeida's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cícero Quadros to strike the kick off in the second half. After 53 minutes Galáticos MZ's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jorginho Barbosa who took care of the corner kick. A well done corner resulted in Cícero Quadros drilling the ball in to score 1-2 behind Galáticos MZ's goalkeeper. The supporters of Galáticos MZ booed when Ca o Du was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Gustavo da Fonseca didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Edgar Arce had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ca o Du's goalkeeper Augusto Almeida, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Fausto Ortiz succeeded in the game's 66th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-2. After a defensive mix-up in Ca o Du's zone, Edgar Arce stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Augusto Almeida came out of the goal and Edgar Arce tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 75 minutes into the game, Edgar Arce cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Augusto Almeida was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Fausto Ortiz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Augusto Almeida having to interfere. If Fausto Ortiz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Ca o Du's Sidnei Dias got a free kick in the 83rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Fausto Ortiz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Galáticos MZ's supporters rose to their feet, but Fausto Ortiz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Augusto Almeida breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Galáticos MZ getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Baltazar Maranhense hit a great ball. Adelino Quadros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Ignacy Glogowski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 93rd minute Cícero Quadros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ignacy Glogowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Galáticos MZ fully deserved thier win.
