If Haroldo Antunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Haroldo Antunes in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gláuber Martins prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Haroldo Antunes struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Gláuber Martins didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jatai. 62 minutes into the match, Império Alviverde's goal looked a bit too open when Haroldo Antunes came free, but Gláuber Martins reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ademar de Toledo got free with Gláuber Martins in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 90th minute, Jatai's Ademar de Toledo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-5. If Ademar de Toledo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. When the match was over Jatai could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Império Alviverde throughout the match.
