In the 12th minute, Elivélton Lara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cleiton de Mendonça sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adelino Matorin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Dino de Toledo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Yuri Nóbrega took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jailson Seco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 31 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. Zico F.C's Dino de Toledo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Zico F.C from getting a goal against them. In the 38th match minute, Zico F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Caio Catarinense to maneuver through the defense. Kléberson Pereira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Yuri Nóbrega tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zico F.C's Kléberson Pereira got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Caio Catarinense charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Caio Catarinense the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Caio Catarinense scored 0-1 in the 71st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Yuri Nóbrega, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Kléberson Pereira received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. But to his dismay, Adelino Matorin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. When Jailson Seco came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Zico F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jailson Seco couldn't finish the play. The Zico F.C players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
