But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adelino Quadros couldn't finish the play. Adelino Quadros's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 21stth minute, Gláuber Martins skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 22nd match minute, Império Alviverde was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Franklin Zonta to maneuver through the defense. Cícero Quadros's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gláuber Martins read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cícero Quadros made a kick off. Augusto Almeida stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Breno de Brito's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. Augusto Almeida showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Breno de Brito, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Augusto Almeida was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Breno de Brito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ca o Du's Augusto Almeida proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Ca o Du from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Império Alviverde booed when Ca o Du was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Gustavo da Fonseca didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gláuber Martins made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cícero Quadros in the 93rd minute of play. Simão Romero could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but Augusto Almeida made a huge save. The Ca o Du supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Império Alviverde's performance. The match ended with a win for Império Alviverde.
