Spectators: 7286 (Terracing: 5467, Seating: 1675, VIP seats: 144) Iate SS's Anton Sikström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cleiton Tinoco in the 4th minute of play. Nelson Tavares was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Cesinha Gerber. Nelson Tavares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orlando Munhoz in the 9th minute of play. A collision led to Barreiras getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Olívio Maciel hit a great ball. Orlando Munhoz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nelson Tavares having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Breno Camargo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Iate SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Breno Camargo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nelson Tavares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Orlando Munhoz in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nelson Tavares saved Barreiras from getting behind. Breno Camargo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Barreiras's zone, Orlando Munhoz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nelson Tavares came out of the goal and Orlando Munhoz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Breno Camargo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nelson Tavares having to interfere. Barreiras's Nelson Tavares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Barreiras from getting a goal against them. Breno Camargo in the 27thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Nelson Tavares, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Nelson Tavares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orlando Munhoz in the 29th minute of play. After 32 played minutes Barreiras got a freekick which was hit by Perivaldo Borges. If Orlando Munhoz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 39th minute, Orlando Munhoz fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Nelson Tavares, passed just outside the right post. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Orlando Munhoz made the kick off in the second half. Jânio Pernambucano's late challenge caught a Barreiras's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jânio Pernambucano helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Iate SS's Jânio Pernambucano got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Orlando Munhoz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nelson Tavares having to interfere. After 57 minutes, Olívio Maciel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Barreiras and the Iate SS players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Breno Camargo in the 58th minute of play forced Barreiras's goalkeeper Nelson Tavares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Orlando Munhoz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Breno Camargo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Orlando Munhoz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Breno Camargo in the 68th minute of play forced Barreiras's goalkeeper Nelson Tavares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Breno Camargo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nelson Tavares having to interfere. 72 minutes into the match, Barreiras's goal looked a bit too open when Breno Camargo came free, but Nelson Tavares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Olívio Maciel was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 73 minutes had been played. In the 74th match minute, Barreiras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olívio Maciel to maneuver through the defense. Eduardo Cruz's late challenge caught a Barreiras's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nelson Tavares was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 92 minutes into the match, Orlando Munhoz notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Barreiras's Nelson Tavares. Nelson Tavares was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. André Luiz Novaes in the 96thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Anton Sikström, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When the referee ended the match the Iate SS players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
