With a little luck, ASSOCIAÇAO ATLETICA TIJUK's João Vítor de Toledo got control of the ball when Dudu Ferraz tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the Athletico Manaus defense, Vitório Salgado kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of André Leal. The Athletico Manaus fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that André Leal should have stopped the shot. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Válbson de Sena was the one to do the kick off. André Leal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Oséias Valle in the 51st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lauro Marques in the 53rd minute of play forced ASSOCIAÇAO ATLETICA TIJUK's goalkeeper João Vítor de Toledo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 55 minutes into the match, ASSOCIAÇAO ATLETICA TIJUK's goal looked a bit too open when Válbson de Sena came free, but João Vítor de Toledo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vitório Salgado kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. After 88 minutes ASSOCIAÇAO ATLETICA TIJUK's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ruy Moreira who took care of the corner kick. William Paraibano's late challenge caught a ASSOCIAÇAO ATLETICA TIJUK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. William Paraibano helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Athletico Manaus's William Paraibano got a free kick in the 89th minute. Vitório Salgado could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but André Leal made a huge save. Oséias Valle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without André Leal having to interfere. Athletico Manaus's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
